# General settings

Workspace defaults for AI Translate and call pickup behavior.

## What it is

**General Settings** holds cross-channel defaults that are not tied to a single object (members, tags, or billing). The product user manual documents **AI Translate** and **Call Settings** here.

{% hint style="info" %}
Menu path: Settings, then General Settings (sometimes shown as General). Channel connections live under Message Integration, not General Settings.
{% endhint %}

## AI Translate

Agents can translate incoming messages and their own replies in the Inbox. Configure languages under **Settings, then General Settings, AI Translate**.

1. Go to **Settings, then General Settings**.
2. Open **AI Translate**.
3. Set the languages your team needs.
4. Save.

In a conversation, hover an incoming message and click **Translate**, or translate your reply before sending.

## Call Settings

After an agent picks up a call, klink.cloud can jump them to the customer's **Contact** page or a **New ticket**.

1. Go to **Settings, then General, Call Settings** (under General Settings).
2. Choose whether pickup opens **Contact**, **New ticket**, or the behavior your workspace offers.
3. Save.

The **Call Settings** card also has the **Multi-tab call support** switch. See [Multi Tab Call](/settings/general-settings/multi-tab-call.md).

{% hint style="info" %}
Telephony plans, extensions, and softphone setup are documented under Call guides. General Settings only controls the post-pickup jump target described above.
{% endhint %}
