# Using email

Compose, reply, and internal notes on email conversations in klink.cloud.

Day-to-day email in the inbox after your mailbox is connected. For connecting Gmail, Microsoft, or SMTP/IMAP, see [Setup Email Channels](/getting-started/setup-channels/emails/setup-email-channels.md).

## Connect and manage mailboxes

1. Go to **Settings**, then **Message Integration**, then **Email**.
2. Click **Connect My Email** and choose **Google**, **Microsoft**, or your own **IMAP/SMTP** server.
3. Manage mailboxes, signatures, and server settings under **Settings**, then **Mail Integration**.

If Microsoft shows **Need admin approval**, use the [Microsoft Email Integration - Admin Consent Guide](/getting-started/setup-channels/emails/microsoft-email-integration-admin-consent-guide.md).

## Send an email

1. Click **Compose**, or open an email and choose **Reply**, **Reply all**, or **Forward**.
2. Fill in **To**, and optionally **Cc**, **Bcc**, and **Subject**.
3. Write your message, attach files if needed, and send.

## Internal notes on email

Email conversations support internal notes and @mentions. Use the **Reply**, then **Comment** toggle (Comment is private; the customer never sees it). Type **@** to tag a teammate.
